E.Q: What are examples of literary devices?
Obj: I can identify examples of literary devices and understand how they work.
Starter:
Your class folder is due tonight by 11:59!
Have you organized your folder completely?
Why or why not?
What must you do in order to have it submitted on time?
Activity:
Review the list of terms in the document above.
Identify at least 20 words that you are unfamiliar with or need refreshed.
For 20 of the words fill out the charts posted in Literary Review Vocab Sheet.
2. Flashcards
As you are completing the charts, create flashcards that you can use later to quiz yourself.
On one side, write the word.
On the other side, write the definition.
3. Quiz. Quiz. Trade.
We will use the flashcards you made earlier for quiz, quiz, trade.
See how many cards you can remember.
Keep track of the terms you need to review.
Closure:
What terms did you need to review again?
How will you set time aside to actually use your flashcards?
Homework:
Make sure that you have finished organizing your class folder.
Turn in your 10 songs with their big ideas.
